How to Cancel Noom

Cancel online

Noom cancellation depends on whether you signed up on the web, in iOS, or on Android. The survey buries the opt-out, and prepaid plans auto-renew.

Cancel online

Where you cancel depends on how you signed up. If you subscribed on the Noom website, sign in at noom.com, open the account area, and start the cancel flow. Expect a sequence of screens that ask why you are leaving and offer alternatives like pausing, switching to a cheaper plan, or accepting a discount before the final cancel button appears. Read each screen carefully. Buttons like Keep my progress or Continue with a new plan do not cancel. You usually have to pick the opt-out link, which is often smaller and placed below the main button. If you signed up in the Noom app on an iPhone or iPad, your subscription is billed by Apple. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, find Noom, and cancel from that screen. If you signed up on an Android phone, cancel through Google Play by opening the Play Store app, tapping your profile, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Canceling on noom.com does nothing when Apple or Google controls the billing.

Read this before you cancel

Two Noom-specific things catch people off guard. The first is prepaid plan length. During the onboarding questionnaire Noom asks you to pick a plan length (commonly options like 1, 2, 4, 6, or 12 months) and then charges for the entire period upfront. The checkout screen usually shows a per-month price, which makes the plan feel monthly, but the actual charge is the full prepaid amount. When that prepaid period ends, Noom auto-renews for another term of the same length unless you cancel first. The second is Noom Med. Noom Med is a separate prescription service related to weight-loss medication. It is billed separately from the regular Noom app subscription and runs through its own cancel path inside the Noom Med clinical workflow. Canceling the Noom app does not cancel Noom Med, and canceling Noom Med does not cancel the app. If you are on both, you have to cancel each one. Mobile signups also bill through Apple or Google rather than Noom directly, which changes where the cancel action has to happen.

After you cancel

Access to the Noom app usually continues through the end of the prepaid period you already paid for. After that, coaching features, structured courses, and personalized tracking stop. Your weight entries, food logs, and progress data may stay visible inside the app for a while, but new coach messages, program updates, and tracking stop being refreshed. Canceling generally does not trigger a prorated refund for time remaining in a prepaid plan. Noom's refund policy is narrow and typically requires contacting support within a short window after the original charge, not at the moment of cancellation. If you were on Noom Med, stopping the app subscription does not cancel any pending prescription-related charges or medication deliveries, which are handled through the Noom Med clinical workflow separately.

What to save as proof

If billing continues, these make the dispute faster.

  1. 1Screenshot of the final cancellation confirmation screen at the end of the Noom survey, including the end-of-access date
  2. 2Confirmation email from Noom (for website signups) or from Apple or Google (for mobile signups)
  3. 3Screenshot of your plan length and original signup date so you can show how much of the prepaid period you used
  4. 4If you also used Noom Med, separate cancellation proof for that product

What goes wrong

  • Clicked through the Noom cancellation survey without noticing that several screens offer a pause, a discount, or a plan swap in place of cancellation. Accepting any of those keeps the subscription active and restarts the clock.
  • Thought Noom was a monthly plan because the checkout page showed a per-month price. The actual charge covered the full prepaid period (often 4, 6, or 12 months), and the plan auto-renewed for another full term of the same length.
  • Canceled the Noom app subscription but kept seeing charges for Noom Med. Noom Med is a separate product with a separate cancel path and is not stopped by canceling the regular app.
  • Signed up on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device and tried to cancel on noom.com or by removing the app. Apple and Google control those billings, so the cancellation has to happen inside Apple Subscriptions (iPhone or iPad Settings) or Google Play Subscriptions (Play Store), not on the Noom site.
  • Asked for a refund at the moment of cancellation. Noom generally does not prorate prepaid plans at cancel time. Refund requests typically have to go through support within a narrow window after the original charge.
